1910, Sosa Hill looking towards Ancon Quarry. House #790 will be built behind the small white shack in the photos' lower center. Foundation remains of those wooden houses were still seen behind Bldg 790 during the 1930's.

1912, At this time, the future San Pablos Street was the only road up to the wooden quarters, by the start of the Sosa Hill path. Tavernilla St. will come up from the Clubhouse, cross San Pablo and go down to the left of the steam plant. Ruins of the closest two wooden houses were to be found behind Bldg 790 later. The bleached out area of the photo is looking at the future Amador area.

August 1914, View from Ancon Hill with houses still under construction on San Pablo and Tavernilla Streets. The churches of St. Mary's and Balboa Union have not been started as yet. Below on Balboa Rd. is the old Balboa P.O. on the right. To it's left is the Lodge Hall School followed by three bachelors qtrs.

November 1914, Tavernilla Street is through to La Boca Rd and on the left side are Qtrs: 790, 794, 796. On the right side are Qtrs: 789, 791, 793 with constuction still going on. Also seen is #798 behind left side qtrs. on bluff overlooking where the USO will later be.

1915, Tavernilla Street qrts. seem to all be occupied as construction of #799 goes on over next to where St.Mary's will be built.

1917, From Sosa Hill looking down on the first half of Tavernilla St. as it comes up from the Clubhouse. Large section of Balboa Flats in view, and St. Mary's Church is up. Below St. Mary's can be seen the Balboa Restaurant which later became the Police Station. Beyond that is the first formal Balboa Base Ball Park.

1923, Tavernilla St. to La Boca Rd. with the old steam plant now a warehouse and trees growing high. Cottages now on La Boca Rd. and Empire Street is thriving.
